Barbara came to my home and spent a lot of time determining my style and what I’d like. Then she came back and showed me samples of things she had picked out based on our earlier conversation. She nailed it. All of her selections were great. I was able to redo a room exactly like my taste.

The sofa in my office is fabulous! It has been a real talking point. Everyone that sees it always says something about it, usually “Wow, where did you get that?” and they tell me how great it looks and unique. It is the perfect piece for the space that I just had no idea what to do with. You went above and beyond by coming out to me to bring ideas and options I would have never known existed. We completely remodeled our Kitchen and added about 75 sq ft to our work area. We moved walls re-configured plumbing, lighting, cabinet layout; pretty much everything. We had a few material selections that were constants we needed to use in order to stay on track with our costs but still wanted it all to come together and look cohesive. Barbara met with us several times at home and in stores to select wall color, tile flooring, lighting fixtures, countertops, a wallpaper accent wall and textiles. We were honestly floored with how well the room came together with the selections and purchases that Barbara made. A few times we just lacked the vision for what would work, but Barbara made it happen! We love how our kitchen turned out and talk about it with each other all the time.

Barbara was extremely helpful in helping me select window treatments to fit my style, my room/home, and my budget. Her expertise and love of her job were clear to see. Even my husband got involved in the selection, and later commented on how good she was. Barbara and her specialist also did an excellent job installing the window treatments in my formal living room. They were prompt and efficient. I love my blinds so much I can hardly wait to do additional rooms in my home!

Barbara Hayman has volunteered her professional services at my church, providing consultation, recommendations and hands-on services. Her choices in design elements have been incorporated into the sanctuary space as well as classrooms, office and public areas of the building. Barbara did a fantastic job on our dining room, foyer and family room remodel. The work included draperies, furnishings, lighting and accent pieces. It began with nearly a full day needs analysis as she familiarized herself with our wants, styles, lifestyle and our budget. Barbara was sure to include our late teen/early twenties children by soliciting their opinions. Barbara then collected her thoughts and ideas and came back a few weeks later for ordering product and scheduling the work. Notably, everything was within budget. The work was done on two occasions so not to disrupt our schedules and the work teams she used were top notch. The final product exceeded our expectations and anyone who comes in is amazed by the rooms she decorated for us. Thank you Barbara and I can’t wait for our next project together.

Once we decided to proceed with interior decoration, I went to Homeadvisor.comand that is where I found Barbara. I was nervous at the beginning giving the scope of the project. However, the experience was wonderful, and Barbara was always willing to listen and make changes to accommodate our concerns. Barbara transformed my Kitchen, Solarium and the floor in my Family room. When I say transformed, I mean transformed! We replaced the flooring with solid hickory in the Kitchen and Family room. We replaced the Kitchen countertops with a magnificent granite and incredible glass tile backsplash. We also painted the Kitchen and Solarium, and added and replaced light fixtures in the Kitchen, Solarium, Foyer and hallways. We also replaced the base molding throughout the first floor. The change is amazing, and everyone who sees it is amazed and jealous. Women say they want the transformed areas and men say don’t show their wives because they’ll make them do the same projects!

I have Barbara to thank for the inspiration, for convincing me to make what were bold changes for me, for listening to me and taking into account my likes and for making it all happen in the time frame and budget. Barbara is phenomenal to work with and she uses only the best in materials and craftsmen. If you want to make a impact, if you want to be dramatic, if you want an incredible home, Barbara should be your first and only choice!

I initially did a Google search for interior decorators in the area and within minutes of hitting the send button, Barbara was reaching out to me. Of course, others responded also; however, I was impressed that Barbara was flexible with scheduling and was willing to meet with me on a Sunday. Barbara showed up on time, if not early, on each of our visits. She was quite prepared and had portfolios available to show other projects that she had worked on. This was actually the deciding factor in selecting Barbara and Decorating Den for my project. I was further impressed that Barbara offered me several options/price ranges for me to choose from when deciding on the pieces for my décor. All said, her service was impeccable and now I am wanting to use her interior decorating services for an out-of-state project in the future.

Barbara has excellent taste and was very helpful in developing with us a concept of what we wanted to achieve and then making it happen. She is very knowledgeable about what products are available and followed through to make sure everything came out just as we wanted. Barbara is an outstanding designer who works for you! She listens to your preferences, gives you options and can transform blank spaces into beautiful, creative masterpieces. I had a completely blank room that I needed to decorate for my 3 year old son to move into. Barbara helped me find the perfect paint, bed, quilt, curtains, lighting and accessories to turn a completely blank room into a beautiful, creative space for my 3 year old. Barbara took care of all the details of design, painting and installation for me in a timely manner. She also painted an antique chest for me that I wanted to use in the room. I didn’t have to worry about finding the time to get the room ready. Barbara surprised us with the final “unveiling” of his new room which included a special elephant chair and a colorful decal wall clock. My son loved his new room and it was an easy, fun, creative experience to work with Barbara and see her “work her magic” in a space for a toddler.

Barb has helped us design our kitchen by selecting tile, accent wallpaper, wall color and curtains to complement the cabinets and style we were going for! She’s also selected tile and a wall color for our bathroom, along with stylish pillows for our living room. Barb has broadened my house style through proving my style rules aren’t really applicable and that not everything needs to match. Barb definitely has an eye for what looks good across all types of styes while making the room more than what the customer wants!

Barbara is fantastic to work with and makes the decorating process enjoyable. She always puts together a visual presentation so that I can see her vision which is a great tool. I am looking forward to working with Barbara on several more projects in my home.

Very impressed with Barbara Hayman with Decorating Den Interiors. Her knowledge of the type of window covering I was looking for, and her knowledge of the different vendors she represents, was impressive. She kept us up-to-date with the product availability – because it was custom. Her selection was more than I really needed, but was impressed that she wanted me to have options. I would refer her to my friends, family, and any other one that would show interest in decorating their interior.

Having never replaced window treatments, I was at the mercy of the contractor. Barbara not only listened to what I wanted, but explained why that might not be the best option. Even though Barbara could probably have made more off of me by giving me what I ‘wanted’, she gave me what was best suited for my circumstances.
