Coastal Retreat

Barbara’s clients wanted to create their own personal coastal retreat that would feel like they had travelled to a luxury vacation resort. They wanted each space in their new second home to be a beautiful, happy, tranquil haven of relaxation and enjoyment.

Project Overview:

Barbara selected colorful framed art with splashes of brilliant reds, magenta, corals and turquoise, reminiscent of a happy island resort town in the Caribbean, as the inspiration for this room. A soft indoor/outdoor rug with splashes of color underfoot also added a wonderful focal point.

To balance the room and help create a restful, calm feel to such a vibrant space, we used all white furniture with gold accents for the furnishings with white bedding for a clean, breezy feel. A fun coral reef-inspired blue and white fabric roman shade provides privacy and a coastal vibe in the room.
